Residence Serenissima

The only thing I liked was the central location, a few meters from the beach. For the price, more than 5 thousand crowns per night, this was terrible value. I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone and won't return. We came for a family holiday at a well-known hotel that was supposed to suit children, but I've never had a worse stay. The room itself was decent. The bedroom was passable and the bed was fairly good, though I've slept in better ones. The kitchen was well equipped for occasional cooking. The bathroom had a crazy smell the whole time, and there was no window. The third sleeping place, a sofa bed, was disastrous. It creaked so badly that you were afraid to turn over at night and wake someone, and we had to sleep on it for several days. You could hear everything, too. Noisy neighbors kept us up until 1 am before it got quiet enough to sleep for a while. The balconies are built so you can see into the neighboring ones, with no privacy. People would sometimes look at our plate, but worst was the dog next door. It stayed on the balcony all day and only barked when its owners were asleep. Whenever we went out, it started barking endlessly until we went back inside, so we couldn't sit and chat on the terrace in the evening.

For our first trip to Italy, choosing Bibione was a mistake. It felt more like Germany or Austria with a beach, with lots of people speaking fluent German but very little English. If you're hoping to experience the real Italy, I'd avoid Bibione. Our accommodation was pleasant, centrally located, and had spacious rooms. The children's playroom was a hit with our kids, and the beach was lovely, with a reserved organized spot for every guest, so there was no stress about finding a place. Nearby cafes played loud music until 1:00 a.m., but the room soundproofing worked well and we weren't disturbed. There was a musty smell around the pool, probably from the trees nearby. The balcony had a handy washing machine, detergent, and drying rack. The bathroom looked modern, but the shower door's rubber seal was broken and needs replacing. The staff, owners included, were unwelcoming, which was disappointing. We didn't try breakfast, but it looked limited: one drink, a croissant, some jam, and a small plate of meat or cheese. If you're driving an electric car, there's just one 11kWh charger, and it costs €20. With so much demand, getting a turn is difficult. Reception offers little help, so people leave a note on the car window asking to be called when the charger is free. Everyone seems to do that.

Everything was very well organized and spotlessly clean, with no queues and literally everything in the house. The bar deserves a special mention, as do the animation staff for always going the extra mile. The staff were very kind and professional.

The apartments are spacious and nice, with a fully equipped kitchenette, washing machine, and everything else you might need.
