There were four of us, my husband and I and his parents, staying Saturday to Saturday. The photos show a bunk bed that wasn’t mentioned when we booked, so my husband and I ended up sleeping on the sofa. His parents have visited Italy more than 20 times and said they’d never encountered anything like it. We paid 850 euros, which felt expensive for Italy, especially for an apartment like this. It was my first visit to Italy, and I knew apartments here could be poor, but this was the worst I’ve seen. Cleanliness mattered most to me, and there was none to speak of. We arrived a little early and gave the cleaning staff 5 euros, hoping they’d do a thorough job. Still, there was hair from previous guests on the bathroom floor and in the shower, and the sofa was covered in crumbs or dust. Just disgusting. Please give the cleaners a vacuum cleaner.

The pool and the short walk to the beach were the only good parts, which is why I gave it two stars. The apartment was old, worn, and partly broken. The shower screen was positioned so close to the toilet that you had to sit sideways, even my six-year-old had to do that. It badly needs a full renovation, and for the price, you can definitely find something newer and better.

The pine forest setting is beautiful, but the villa we stayed in was handed over by the agency in a very dirty state, as if it hadn’t been used for ages. The air conditioning didn’t work, and the metal stairs up to the rooms were dangerous for children. It’s a real shame the place hasn’t been renovated.
