Casamatta a Blera

The owners were kind, but the stay itself was one we'd rather forget. Eight of us rented both apartments, and neither was really usable because of the cold. The heaters were switched on the morning we arrived, after the apartments had been shut up. At night the temperature never got above 13.5 degrees Celsius, so we slept in our clothes. The larger apartment has three rooms with no privacy between them. There are two bathrooms, but one has no shower. In the smaller apartment, the bathroom is so narrow it's unusable. Water leaks from the toilet, the bidet doesn't work, and using the shower would flood the whole apartment. Both apartments have fold-out beds, with single mattresses held together by a double sheet. The doors and windows don't close properly. There were dirty dishes but no kitchen linens, no television in any room, and the Wi-Fi barely worked anywhere. It's a picturesque place, but it badly needs maintenance and upkeep. At €60 per couple with nothing included, the price is truly out of line for the area.
