There’s a nice park by the lake in Como, Milan, with excellent views beside the mountains. Huge numbers of people come each day to enjoy the scenery. We visited as a group from Dhaka, Bangladesh.

There’s plenty to do around Lake Como: you can take a boat tour, ride the funicular up above the lake for views across the water and surrounding nature, or simply walk along the shore. The lakeside has lots of restaurants and cafés too. It’s easy to reach from Milan by bus or train, or by taking the highway toward Lugano in Switzerland. A lovely place to spend the whole day.

Parking is available, though getting around means tackling plenty of stairs. The town sits on a hill and has narrow streets, so expect some ups and downs. It’s an ancient place, but really cool to stay in.
