Having a restaurant on the ground floor is handy, and the rooms are really nice, with a mini fridge in each one. They’re comfortable for couples and families. The hotel is about an 18-20 minute drive from town, so renting a car makes sense. Still, if you’re looking for peace and a lovely view, it’s worth the trip. The stables, horses, and lake make for a spectacular, romantic setting.

We had a room overlooking the lake after the hotel upgraded us, and the staff were kind and friendly. The garden is lovely, the restaurant has pleasant outdoor seating, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was good, too. Both bikes we rented from the hotel had problems, but they were replaced and Equirelais offered us a partial refund. Getting there is easiest by car or bike, since there aren’t many sidewalks along the roads and the nearest bus stop is a 15-20 minute walk away.

The view across Varese lake was beautiful, and the dinner party was a great experience. Service was amazing, with attentive, friendly, professional staff. The food was delicious, and the bartender was talented. Highly recommend!

The wine list is top notch, and the prices are fair for such good food in a lovely setting. I had the local stew and tagliolini allo stracotto di cappone, with a good bottle of Barbaresco. There’s a straight view of Varese lake, and that little piggy isn’t on the menu 😀

The lake view is fantastic, and the building, garden, and terrace are all beautiful. The food was really good, and the staff were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
