We came across this charming hotel by chance and were glad we stopped. The room was comfortable with an amazing view, and the food was great. The owners are friendly, speak English very well, and suggested a couple of beautiful places to drive to nearby. I highly recommend it.

It felt like stepping back into Italy’s belle epoque, and the kindest couple run the place. Absolutely loved it!

We only stayed one night on our trip from Milan to Neuchatel, but were completely satisfied. The room was clean and quiet, the WiFi was excellent, and the pleasant shared spaces and interesting decor made the hotel a nice place to spend time. Our risotto and gnocchi were excellent. There’s a full bar and an espresso machine too, and sitting on the terrace with a local beer or macchiato would be a lovely way to finish a morning at the spa or on the hiking paths. The hotel is on a hillside above a beautiful valley, and you can easily reach it by bus from Domodossola train station. Its owner is a friendly local, whose father also ran the hotel, and is glad to help guests and point out sights around Bognanco. The hotel makes a good base for enjoying the simple charms of northern Italy’s mountain villages. Boco, the next village up the hill, is worth a look: nearly every building has a painting, sculpture, or another piece of art, and residents welcome tourists who want to wander and take photos. We saw many renovations in the valley, suggesting an effort to welcome visitors with modern yet classic places to stay. For Italian alpine charm and a base to explore from, Hotel Edelweiss in Bognanco is a great choice.

We came for a literary competition awards ceremony and turned it into a family weekend. The quiet, authentic setting made for a relaxing break from everyday life. We felt welcomed, listened to, and respected, largely thanks to Gianluca and Sonia. They were patient, warm, and genuinely passionate about their work. It's clear they care for the property and their guests. Thank you for the conversations and for making us feel at home. We'll be back with love and gratitude. The hotel is tucked away at the end of a small road near the spa, with parking nearby. It feels remote, but Domodossola is only a short drive away, and the green road there is easy to drive. Mountain trails are close by for walks of all levels, and the still-active thermal baths are another option, though they’re quieter than they once were. The area felt safe and peaceful, and the hotel is easy to explore on foot if you enjoy nature walks. Our room was clean, tidy, and functional, with a simple but refined feel and thoughtful touches for comfort. We slept well in the quiet surroundings. There’s an elevator, a gym, and books to read if the weather turns bad. Although there isn’t a full restaurant service, there’s a good selection of food, including charcuterie boards, toasted sandwiches, focaccia, homemade desserts, and more. Breakfast was generous and well prepared. Gianluca and Sonia, who run this family business as husband and wife, were exceptionally courteous and helpful. It was a lovely place to unplug and reconnect with nature. Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, a sincere welcome, and a family atmosphere.
