The room was clean, and the central location in Bojano was the one positive. There was no air conditioning or fan. Opening the windows let in street noise, including motorcycles speeding past, as well as mosquitoes, so I couldn’t sleep. The room door didn’t lock from outside, so I couldn’t secure it when I left. Some things were broken too, including the shower screens and hairdryer. I stayed just one night and only used the room to sleep. I should have called the owners to report it, but I found out late in the evening and didn’t think it was appropriate then. Still, these are basic checks that should happen before a room is handed over. When cleaning the shower, for instance, wouldn’t you notice that the enclosure is falling apart and won’t close? The service was basically just handing over the keys.
