Such a beautiful, stylish place with real character. The host was lovely and spoke English. Thanks for a nice stay in Bologna's historic centre.

One small thing to know: this B&B is inside a residential apartment building, with no sign from the road. Check the photo of the front door so you recognize it, then press the buzzer and Cristina will let you in. We stayed in the 'Princess Room', which was beautiful and clean, with a very comfortable bed. We even came back one day to find a surprise bottle of Spumante. Cristina was lovely and welcoming, and available in person or by phone to answer questions. The B&B is well situated, a 15-minute stroll to the centre and a 20-minute walk from the train station or airport bus stop. We'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Bologna.

The owner was charming, helpful, and full of style. Suite Baldachino was quiet, clean, practical, and beautifully decorated. It's handy for conferences at the University and for getting around on foot or by public transport. The fridge is useful if you have dietary needs or medication that needs to stay cool. The bidet was a plus, and the shower was the best I've ever had. There were nice tea options in the shared kitchen, though making tea meant using the microwave since there was no kettle. A few things could be improved: the streetlights made the room bright at night, with no way to darken it; a hook for a small hand towel and a toilet paper holder would help. It was very warm in Bologna, and the air conditioning didn't work as it should. When we opened the window for fresh air, a whole army of mosquitoes came in and made for a very long night. The mosquitoes aren't the owner's fault, but bring repellent if you're visiting Bologna in summer.

The place was furnished with style and felt really original, with a special atmosphere. We found it for a short stay in Bologna, close to the centre and with private parking. Breakfast was an excellent Italian spread with everything we needed. Cristina and her staff were friendly and helpful.
