The apartment was cute and in a great location. The owners were really helpful, even bringing over a clothes rack when they learned the whole week was going to be wet. The corridors outside get very noisy, though, if you're sleeping in the lounge on the bedsettee, which is noisy too.

Acquaderni (Galleria Giovanni) The Credito Romagnolo building dates to 1928 and was designed by Edoardo Collamarini. The elegant Acquaderni Gallery below it was decorated in 1932 by Lambertini, using four old polychrome prints: Piazza Maggiore, Procession of the Madonna of San Luca, Piazza Malpighi, and Piazza San Domenico. The gallery occupies the former site of the Hospital of San Giobbe for syphilis patients. Under the old choir, a cartouche recalls that St. Guarino, a Bolognese cardinal, founded the hospital in 1141. Traces of the ancient selenite walls were found in the area during restoration work in 1973. Part one, entry from Via Rizzoli: beside number 34, the entrance follows an old alley once called Vicolo or Androna degli Zampari or Zamparia. The Androna degli Zampari has been documented since 1256 (Guidicini, III, 212). Part two, central connecting chamber: the Androna degli Zampari, also known as Peladuro, once ended at the oratory or church of San Giobbe. Its interior became part of the gallery and now forms the central connecting chamber, which is still splendidly decorated. Part three, entry from Via Guglielmo Oberdan: west of the former church of the Compagnia di San Giobbe are two alleys. One runs unnamed west to Via Guglielmo Oberdan. The other goes south, then west, and also reaches Via Guglielmo Oberdan. Its east-west stretch is now a private passage, closed by two gates, including one on Via Guglielmo Oberdan. Part four, entry from Via de' Giudei: use the main entrance at number 2 Via dei Giudei, formerly number 2617. Part five, entry from Vicolo San Giobbe: this is simply the route that led to the church of San Giobbe from Vicolo San Giobbe.
