Horrible experience. We asked whether a later check-in was possible and she said yes, for an extra 5 euros. We agreed, but at the last moment she changed her mind because there was a lady opening the door and she couldn't wait. Incredible. We lost money on a new hotel and on a booking because of it.

The room itself was fine, but I wouldn't stay again unless I had to. This isn't really a hotel, it's a large apartment split into three fairly spacious rooms. The tiled hall carries noise between them, so you hear a lot inside. Breakfast is just a pastry and coffee at a bar, so it doesn't really feel included. The claims about arbitrary check-in times are true: we weren't allowed in until after the advertised time. I don't think it was fraudulent.

This felt fraudulent. I contacted the accommodation while in transit to ask about a room that night and had to pay through Booking.com first. When I got back in touch to confirm payment, they asked when I'd arrive. I said around 8pm because my train was delayed. The lady then said I had to be there by 7pm and couldn't check in, though that deadline hadn't come up in the first phone call. I asked for a refund. She said she was willing to refund me, but that I needed to contact book.com. They recorded it as a 'no show', so I was told no refund was possible. I'm forced to give this 1 star instead of 0.

The room was clean and presentable, and the water pressure was good. But the basics were a real problem. Two sockets seemed like a safety hazard, the kettles didn't work, and we weren't given enough towels, shower gel, or toilet paper for everyone. We told the host about the missing towels as soon as we arrived, but they only showed up almost 48 hours later, left on the floor outside our room. The host seemed focused on collecting the tourist tax while not providing even basic comfort or hygiene, and didn't follow through on what was advertised. She should think seriously about how she treats guests and make sure basic safety and hygiene needs are met.
