Atelier Pallavicini

I was in Bologna for Cersaie and stayed at Atelier Pallavicini for the week. The location was incredibly convenient, and Matilde and Adele welcomed me so well. They were both really helpful. I’ve already booked again for next year!

Matilde made us feel welcome right away. She was kind and helpful, and that added a lot to the stay. The apartment is a modern space, with thoughtful style that fits the historic setting. It has the comforts you’d expect, plus restaurant tips and some information and books about the city. We stayed for a weekend in the Painter's Atelier, where the huge table used by its former residents is still there, now decorated with a charming gazebo. At Palazzo Pallavicini, you can feel the history as soon as you walk in, with the adjoining museum entrance, high ceilings, friezes, and big windows. It’s especially worth staying for the historic city-center location, just 10 minutes from Piazza Maggiore. A fabulous stay!

The owners were friendly and helpful, and there’s a very good breakfast option just across the street. We stayed four nights in a large, quiet, very clean apartment that combines an old palazzo with modern, fully equipped facilities, including the bathroom and kitchen. You can park in the courtyard for a fee, and the city center is only a few minutes’ walk away. Highly recommended.

Matilde hosted us impeccably and was so kind. That’s what makes the Painter's Atelier stand out from an ordinary B&B. It’s in a charming historic building in central Bologna, with a spacious, spotless apartment, high ceilings, and all the comforts you need. It’s a place worth experiencing at least once!
