B&B Ambra

The building has a lift, which was handy, and our room was spacious and comfortable for what we needed. It’s ideally located between the edge of the city centre and the Central train station. They provided free still and sparkling water, along with coffee.

The host contacted us before we arrived to help us find Bb Ambra, and the lady in charge was very kind throughout our stay, though I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. We had a private double room for three nights, and it was spacious enough and very clean, with a comfortable bathroom too. It took no more than 10 minutes to walk to the city centre, and there were a few restaurants nearby. Our stay exceeded our expectations.

We had a lovely time here, and it was surprisingly affordable for all the comforts. The hosts were such nice people. The owner baked us a pie for the morning, and the kitchen was stocked with fruit, yogurt, juice, and cookies. There was also a jar kettle with tea and coffee in our room, plus a coffee machine and water dispenser in the kitchen. I loved the firm mattresses and pillows. They gave my back and neck the support I need when I’m tired, unlike the soft, squishy ones I dislike at so many apartments and hotels. My Italian isn’t good, so chatting with the female owner was a bit of a challenge, but we found a way to communicate. There’s a flea market nearby too, if that’s your kind of thing. I can’t recommend the place enough.

The host was super helpful, and our room was spotless and very comfortable. You can walk to all the major attractions from this spot right in the centre of Bologna. Highly recommended.
