I can’t say much about the cleaning service since I opted out. I was only there for two days, and cleaning my room didn’t seem necessary, which felt more eco-friendly. My room and especially the bathroom were extremely clean, and the bed was very comfortable, with fresh, crisp sheets. The woman at the front desk was lovely. The decor was strange, though honestly, who cares? It’s a bit of a walk to the town center, but there are plenty of good cafes and shops on the way. I’d recommend the place to anyone visiting bologna. I’m not sure why some reviews are negative.

The room was modern, with new furniture, and very clean. I felt safe the whole time, and the Wi-Fi was good. There’s a supermarket about two minutes away on foot. It takes around 30 minutes to walk to the train station, which didn’t feel too far to me. Elena at reception was very polite. Check-in went smoothly, including the self check-in I used so I could leave my luggage. The instructions were detailed and easy to follow.

The area feels entirely non-touristy, and it’s not within walking distance of the main station. Getting to the historic center takes about 20 minutes on foot through a dull urban stretch. There are more convenient places for tourists in Bologna, so I wouldn’t recommend this one. The rooms are small and modest, suitable for a short stay, but I wouldn’t stay longer than two days.

We haven’t stayed at this B&B yet, but their response to our cancellation deserves praise. Our flights were cancelled last week because of Italian ATC strikes. Even though we’d booked a non-refundable room, reception kindly offered a voucher valid for six months. I was impressed by how prompt the service was :)

The only real plus was how close it is to the city center. It was extremely noisy, with sounds from the street and other rooms carrying so clearly that you could hear everything. We were supposed to have a room with a terrace but got one without it. The owner said it was a problem with booking.com. Otherwise, never again.
