The location near public transport was the only real positive for me. I’ve stayed in more than 20 hotels and guesthouses around Europe, and this was my worst experience by far. It’s rooms in a house rather than a proper hotel setup, which caused confusion right away. I was first given two rooms, then woken two hours later and told there’d been a mistake. The host was rude, didn’t apologize, and came into the room while I was packing to complain about having to clean again. It was handled very unprofessionally. Other guests were brought to the door while I was still inside. My room could be locked, but the bathroom was outside it, and the sliding door between my room and bathroom area and the outside didn’t lock, so it felt unsafe. Breakfast was poor and inconsistent. The host lives downstairs, and the strong-smelling food she cooked for dinner spread into the rooms and was unpleasant. I was also awkwardly asked to pay the city tax again, even though it was already included in my payment. Basic things were lacking too: the trash bin was tiny, the fridge was weak, and there was no wardrobe. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We were two 23-year-olds, and after calmly telling the owners about our concerns, they kicked us out at 11 PM and left us on the street. They didn’t listen or try to fix anything, not even by offering another room. We’d asked for earplugs to partly deal with the noise, but they treated us like idiots and hung up. It’s odd that the people called “today’s youth” had to teach a life lesson to those who could have been our parents. We’d booked just one night, luckily. The building looked beautiful and had an unusual design, but the room was badly soundproofed. After resting for about an hour in the afternoon, we could clearly hear people and cars. There was a sliding door we first thought was part of the room, with the bathroom opposite, but we were actually paying only for the bedroom. The entry area and bathroom couldn’t be closed off. We also noticed a gas-like smell after turning on the water, though we don’t know why. I never thought I’d have to write a review like this.

The room was spacious, with a comfortable double bed, and had a minibar, TV, air conditioning, working Wi-Fi, and a kettle. I liked the charming decor, especially the shelf of books about countries and cultures. The bathroom was comfortable too, with a shower tray, bidet, toilet, large sink, and toiletries. There was a guest toilet, a hand towel and bath towel, a hairdryer, shower kit, and two rolls of paper. There wasn’t a curtain around the shower, but that didn’t matter. The water came from faucets. Since it was a hot summer day, the owner gave me cold water when I arrived, which I really appreciated. I met his wife that evening, and she was kind as well. There was a payment mix-up because I thought I’d paid through Booking.com, but she was patient while we sorted it out. The B&B is welcoming and conveniently located a few kilometers from Bologna Centrale. I was there for the Mahmood concert, and it’s also very close to Parco Caserme Rosse and Sequoie Music Park. When I got back around midnight, I couldn’t open the front door and had to call the owners. They were understanding and helpful despite the late hour, and didn’t seem bothered. Breakfast was served on the spacious balcony by reception in the nice weather. I had orange juice and what I think was a honey croissant, and there was yogurt, jam, milk, tart, a donut, and more. Good selection. €123.50 may sound high, but breakfast is included, unlike at some cheaper B&Bs. I had a good stay and would recommend it. I’ll keep it in mind for next time. ❤️

The place is beautifully kept, with modern, industrial-style furnishings. It had a TV, air conditioning, a fridge, and a little bookcase, and the bathroom was very nice. Our room was very spacious, essentially two rooms with a sliding door between them. The owner welcomed us kindly, showed us around, and gave us keys so we could come and go. She made breakfast fresh and checked several times if we wanted anything else. We chose it for Sequoia Park, which was less than a ten-minute walk at an easy pace, so it’s handy for events there. I don’t know how close it is to the city center or how to get there.
