For a day or two, it might do, but I wouldn't return. The location and price were good, and breakfast was included, with cookies, croissants, juice, tea and coffee. Still, the owner was hard to reach, and the staff spoke very little Italian or English. The extra duvet we requested was dirty, and the bathroom door lock was broken.

Joel was great at helping us at the start, and the breakfast was the one bright spot. They also left coffee and tea out during the day. But there was never hot water when we needed it. Staff told us to wait an hour; afterward, hot water came from the sink, but not the shower. The room was very enclosed and had no lighting.

There isn't a reception since this isn't really a hotel, and the bathroom is shared. Checking in was still straightforward because the hosts use all the usual messaging apps. The bathroom was clean and had what we needed. Furniture looked a little old but was in decent shape, and breakfast was modest, with coffee, tea and pies.

The place felt a bit sketchy, and they photocopied our IDs. The mattress was dirty, there wasn't enough hot water for a shower, and four rooms shared one bathroom. With no reception, thin walls, and even whispers audible from next door, it wasn't comfortable. At least it was warm inside while it was freezing outdoors, which earned the second star.
