The street outside was tight, with repair work going on, and the place looked like a sketchy condominium when we arrived. Inside, the tiny bedside tables were broken and kept falling over. Worst of all, the shower stopped working after five minutes. When we reported it to reception, they didn't come to check and just told us what the issue was, as if it had already been broken before we arrived. The AC barely worked, leaving the room like a boiling stew. Horrible place.

During my 2-night stay at Residenza Due Torri in Bologna, both mornings started with me being jolted awake at 8:00 AM by constant jackhammer noise from a construction site inside the residence. It was completely unacceptable, and management seemed indifferent to our discomfort. There also wasn't proper protection from the construction in the shared entrance and stairwell. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

The shower had an old head and the water pressure was really poor. The room wasn't particularly clean either. Part of the curtain had come off its rail, and it was too high for us to put back, so we couldn't close it all the way.

The bed was comfortable, and we did have a bathroom. The location was okay, but the building was being reconstructed, with lots of things hanging around the entrance and stairs. The view wasn't really a view at all, as plastic sheeting and maintenance equipment blocked it.

Please don't waste your time here. The location was great and it was sort of clean, but the place was very musty and dusty. Getting the key at their main hotel was difficult when we had 2 backpacks and a kid. We paid at Hotel Centrale in Vicolo Cattani 7, got a key, then walked back to Residenza Due Torri in 35 degree heat. After just 15 minutes in the room, we'd had enough of the downstairs door buzzing constantly and the dreadful humidity and musty smell that stopped me opening the wardrobe. I could say more, but it's too irritating to think about. We picked up our bags, found another hotel within 10 minutes, checked the room before booking, and paid the same again. At least that place included an amazing rooftop breakfast. We cancelled our booking on Booking.com, hoping for at least a partial refund for what we felt was blatant misrepresentation by Residenza Due Torri. Of course, we got none. Why do the right thing when the booking terms don't require it? Bologna is too beautiful to spend your time in a place like this.
