Hotel Bologna Airport

The hotel was quiet, and the location is great. The workers were accommodating too. Our room was blazing hot because, I guess, they turn off all the AC after October. They brought us a fan when we asked, which made the heat bearable, though it was still hot. The beds are hard, but that's true of all the beds in Italy.

My July stay left me very disappointed with the parking and the follow-up. I left my car in the hotel's parking and handed the keys to reception as requested. When I got back from my trip, I immediately noticed damage to the front left bumper, fender and wheel. The hotel acknowledged that it had insurance for cases like this and had me fill out its internal damage report. After that, though, getting any clear information became a nightmare: long delays, poor communication, and no definite word on when the damage would be paid for so I could repair the car. In my experience, the hotel didn't take real responsibility for what happened while the car was in its care. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone needing safe, professionally managed parking.

I wouldn't choose this hotel if you're travelling by car. I left my car in its parking while I was on holiday, and returned to find damage on the front left side. Staff had me fill in a form and said their insurance would take care of everything. Months later, after emails and calls, I've had almost no help from the hotel and have had to keep chasing them for basic information. It was very stressful, and I wouldn't stay here again.

DON'T BOOK HERE! I booked a one-night stay at Hotel Bologna Airport because its website said there was a free shuttle bus, including late at night. I booked directly with the hotel, which offered two rates, one prepaid and one payable at the hotel. The email's useful information mentioned the shuttle but didn't say there was a charge. When I messaged to check about a shuttle on arrival, they told me my rate didn't include it and that it would cost 15€, about the same as a taxi. The same thing happened in the morning. The receptionist apologized for the confusion and admitted it wasn't clear, but still charged me 15€. I'll never stay here again. There are more affordable options with a shuttle included, or better hotels.
