La Pioppa Hotel

The local feel made the stay really enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast was excellent. The coffee was unforgettable, and the mix of Italian and English added a fun bit of charm.

The location worked well for our needs, and the staff were kind. There was parking and security cameras, and the room was clean and warm, if a little dark. The upstairs halls were dark when we first went up because we hadn't realized there was a timed switch to turn on. Breakfast was about what I'd expected.

I was tired from the drive and hadn't booked ahead, so I just walked in. Hanna at reception was very professional and spoke excellent English, which made everything easy. In a few minutes I was checked into a clean, comfortable enough room for the price. It cost around 54euros with breakfast, and there was free parking outside. It's very handy for the motorway. I was hungry too, and the restaurant next door was excellent. I tried Pacchero with seafood, an authentic Italian dish I'd never had before. After that meal I slept peacefully. Breakfast wasn't extensive, but it had the things I like: several kinds of croissant, fresh fruit, lots of cakes, and, being in Italy, fantastic coffee. A lovely way to start the day. I'd recommend the place.

The hotel felt like it was in the middle of nowhere, though it was extremely close to the airport. I wasn't too keen on the furniture, which looked a bit old, but it was fine. Breakfast was tasty, especially the Nutella cake, which was just perfect.
