I went ahead with this hostel because I wanted a central spot and the price was cheap. I’d seen reviews calling the staff rude and the place awful, but that wasn’t my experience. The location is about as good as it gets, right outside a main square and near plenty of food, bars, and activities. The staff were friendly and helpful. They do have some strict, occasionally odd rules, but they’re easy enough to follow. The rooms were comfortable, and the beds were clean and comfy. I highly recommend it.

The staff were nice, and I had no hygiene issues. The shower looked a little dated, but it was fine. It was also surprisingly hard to spot the place. Even though it’s among Bologna’s more affordable options, I still thought it was quite expensive. All in all, though, it was totally fine.

I booked only a few hours before arriving, but when I got there at 7:30 pm the receptionist had already left for the day. I was shut out after paying. Taking people’s money when they can’t get inside is disgraceful. This place is a scam. Avoid it.

Their online instructions said to call about arranging a late check-in, so I booked and phoned them. Then I was told late arrivals weren’t allowed at all and asked to call back later about getting a refund. When I called again, they rudely blamed me and said they’d keep my money. I’ll avoid this place next time.
