Marconi Apartments

We paid quite a lot upfront, but a national strike meant we couldn’t get to Bologna that day. I contacted the accommodation right away and explained we’d take the next available way there, though we’d miss check-in. They said the booking would be cancelled and our money kept if we weren’t there on time. After two hours arguing with a rude, disrespectful woman who blamed us for booking and not arriving on time, we gave up. We tried several times to explain that the strike made an on-time arrival impossible. We paid for two nights and stayed nowhere. I’ve never experienced so little empathy in an already awful situation. Don’t book or support this place.

Being close to the center and train station was the only real positive. The AC barely worked, and without blinds the apartment was uncomfortable. The sofa wasn’t comfortable either, and the place looked generally run down. The dishwasher had been left full for days before we arrived.

We had a really enjoyable couple of nights here as a family of three. Marconi Apartments are modern, clean, and well equipped, and being close to Bologna’s center made a great base for sightseeing and eating out.

The apartments are decent, and the location is great.
