We could hear people talking in the next room almost clearly, so the poor soundproofing hurt both comfort and privacy. Our supposed double bed was two singles pushed together, and there was no kettle. The bathroom was cramped, with little room between the toilet and shower, and water from the shower tended to end up on the floor. Breakfast had a decent spread, and the fried eggs were especially good, though there could have been more hot options. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is the real draw: Zanhotel Regina is close to the main railway stations and main street, as well as Piazza Maggiore and the Basilica. Our room looked straight onto the square, which was lovely and made the city feel close. Convenient for a short stay, but comfort and value could be better.

We were four, and the room had plenty of space with really comfortable beds. A couple of small things were awkward: the bathroom door slid, and some of the light switches didn't work, making the lighting system a little strange. Otherwise, both the room and hotel were very good. It's centrally placed, within walking distance of the main railway station and everything you need.

Right in the heart of Bologna, the hotel is a short way from the city center and train station. Our room was spotless and had a huge double bed. Breakfast was good, and the staff were polite and very helpful. The Wi-Fi was very good too.

The staff were friendly and ready to help, and breakfast had plenty of variety. Both the bedroom and bathroom were really cute and nicely warm.

You get a basic 3-star hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. The location is perfect, though having Market Square just outside means extra noise and crowds, and affects the view. Breakfast is mostly a basic continental spread. There's no bar.
