Zanhotel Tre Vecchi

Our suitcases were vandalized in the hotel room while we were out for the day. Nothing was stolen because they only contained clothes, but the locks were so badly damaged that we can't use them anymore. The hotel won't accept responsibility, and so far hasn't reimbursed us for failing to keep our belongings secure. They even suggested the bags might have been damaged at the airport and implied we were blaming them to get money from the hotel. The location near the train station is very convenient, but I can't recommend this place. It felt unsafe, and the hotel hasn't taken responsibility.

The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. Service starts only after 7, so make other arrangements if you're heading out early. They could do better.

The room is tiny, but the location is great and everything's very convenient. It does the job. I'll stay again on my next trip.

At the entrance, one of the two men working there greeted us in the morning and was incredibly helpful and polite. He made us feel at home and even suggested places to see and eat in town. The other man, who was there when we came back at night, was one of the rudest hotel professionals we've met, despite how much we travel. He seemed to have clear hostility toward tourists and tried to bully us. We politely told him that wasn't a suitable way to treat guests in hospitality. He answered sarcastically, “Welcome to Italy my friends,” and walked off. It's a shame the hotel is damaging its image by putting the wrong people in the wrong roles.
