Bolsena Holiday House

This resort could be quite nice, but the football program makes it hard to enjoy. It runs from the end of summer school until the beginning of the new school year, or so I understand, and the noise seems incomprehensible to almost everyone except people who are hard of hearing. You hear it in the restaurant, on the beach, at lunchtime, in the afternoon, and especially often in the evenings. Staying in one of the houses there would be even worse. And then there’s the campsite next door...

We spent two days in a Brown House with friends on a trip out of town. The little house was charming, clean, tidy, and just right. The service was excellent, with kindness and helpfulness all around. I’d recommend it to everyone. Thanks, and see you next time!

The lake is close by and good for swimming, with trees and reeds around it. The view is hard to call, whether it’s prettier by day or at night. Our little house was comfortable, clean, and nicely shaded, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The mini market is small, but has the basics and some good counter items, from bread to mozzarella, at a good price, including for our stay. We also really enjoyed the restaurant and pizzeria. We’ll definitely return.

Everyone here was kind and helpful. That includes the gentleman who comes around each morning to clean the shared areas and the women who clean the cabins. Federico and Alice deserve a special mention for quickly helping us sort out a problem with our car. We were also able to bring our dogs, even though they’re not exactly small.
