Bed & Breakfast La Casa Del Sole

Monica was an absolute angel and helped us so much. This was one of our favorite stops in Italy, and we plan to come back. The B&B felt like home, with lovely art and a relaxing, comfortable bedroom. After a full day of hiking, the wonderful shower in the bathroom was calming. Breakfast was delicious, prepared in the downstairs kitchen. The balcony has a stunning view, and I'd recommend getting up to watch the sun rise over the hills. The location is good too, halfway between Parco di Monstri (Sacro Bosco) and the Etruscan Pyramid, and close to several lovely restaurants.

We had a wonderful weekend. The hostess was friendly and helpful, with lots of good advice, and breakfast was good too. Our room was clean and cozy, and the bathroom was comfortable with everything we needed. The location is handy, close to the historic center, restaurants and a supermarket. Parking was the awkward part: there's none on site, so you have to drive on the busy main road, where cars race as if it's a Grand Prix even though it's a narrow street in a charming medieval village.

The view from the clean, comfortable room was panoramic, and the owner paid close attention to our needs, including our arrival time and breakfast. She also gave us tips about local attractions. Breakfast was generous and high quality. The B&B is well placed for reaching the Sacred Woods of Bomarzo, even on foot if you're up for a stroll, and you can get around to nearby restaurants and activities without transportation. We could stop right in front to unload the car, but finding a parking spot took some walking and luck. We weren't very lucky, even though it was the end of September, but that's not the B&B's fault.
