Lora Hotel

It’s a budget hotel with dated interiors, and the water pressure was low. The beach area with loungers and umbrellas was the plus.

It was okay.

We stayed in the top-floor apartment, with an elevator that opens directly into it. The place was spotless, right on the seafront, and very spacious. It has three large rooms, a big kitchen with all the appliances, including a washing machine, and a hotel coffee maker with capsules. The huge terrace looks straight out to sea and has a sofa and table for snacks or coffee. The beds are very large and comfortable, and there’s air conditioning. It’s an extraordinary setup for families with children, with five-star amenities.

The staff were friendly, and the apartment across from the hotel looked appealing at first. It was spacious, with two bedrooms, a kitchen containing a washing machine and dishwasher, a long bathroom, and parking in the building courtyard. We stopped for two nights on our way to Monaco. Breakfast wasn’t great, though it was decent. The apartment is near the main road, and traffic noise kept us from sleeping well on the first night. There was a lot of traffic that night, less on the second. Beach loungers and umbrellas were included, but the beach was small and not very nice, with only big rocks in the water. Cleaning could be better too, as there was a lot of dust and dirt under the beds. The price felt high even though we were there before mid-August. In Albenga, we stayed at a three-star hotel for 40 euros less.
