The location is great and the staff are friendly, but the building feels stuck in the 1970s. It really needs updating.

The room was very clean and tidy, with everything we needed, though the furniture is dated. There's a pool, a little playground, and a spot to relax on the grounds, and the hotel itself is quiet and soundproofed. The free-entry beach is a five-minute walk. Supermarket, pizzeria, and market are about as close, while children's entertainment, attractions, and the station take around 10-15 minutes on foot. The price was good and the staff were very friendly.

I came back to Chérie recently after at least 12 years away, and the staff still remembered me. That says a lot about their kindness and attention. I have years of fond memories here: card games with friends in the tavern, hours by the pool, the courtyard tables, surrealist paintings in the lobby, and the arcade machines in the game room, which felt cutting-edge in the '90s! The furniture is cleverly designed for the limited space, with pieces that fold away. It is dated, but nothing was broken. Some technology could be brought up to date without losing the atmosphere, such as replacing the wall-mounted hairdryers and electric hobs with newer options, including induction hobs. This is a residence, so you cook for yourself, though focaccia shops, pastry shops, and supermarkets are only a few minutes away on foot. Public and private beaches are steps away, as are the promenades in Pietra Ligure and Borgio. Picturesque Verezzi is farther inland, and Finale Ligure and the other Riviera towns are a short drive away.

You have what you need for a comfortable stay here, and the price reflects the property. It's a historic residence in Borgio Verezzi, with parking, an elevator, disabled access, a small children's play area, and friendly, helpful staff. The concierge is available until midnight, and the pool is open 9am-1pm and 3pm-7pm. The sea is 100 meters away. There's a takeaway pizzeria nearby, a bar across the street, and a good supermarket 150 meters away. On Tuesdays, there's a market on Corso IV Novembre. Rooms that don't face Corso IV Novembre are peaceful, and the nearby railway wasn't a bother. The furniture is dated, and the amenities can be limiting, especially for more than two people, with just two electric hobs and a small fridge. Some updating would be welcome.
