La Piana B&B Hotel

The countryside views and peaceful surroundings made for a lovely stay. Every member of staff gave excellent service, from check-in through check-out. There was a lot of care put into the details, both inside and out. An outstanding B&B hotel.

We only got one full day by the pool, which was a shame because the pool area was lovely. Luciano was a wonderful host, and we really hope to come back. The room's design was stunning, with a beautiful view over the nearby small city, and it was spacious, clean, and well kept. Breakfast was the best we've had on our travels through Europe. We had dinner in Montepulciano Terme, just a 10-minute drive away. Florence, Pisa, and Lucca are also close by car. This is easily one of the top three places we've stayed in Italy, and we've visited the whole country. We loved it.

We ended up adding another night because we weren't ready to leave this peaceful, relaxing place. The combination of friendly service, lovely ambience, care over the details, and real concern for guests is rare. We booked La Piana months ahead for our 25th wedding anniversary, our first time in Tuscany and Italy, and the garden views of the mountains and village below were lovely. The welcome was warm and professional from the start. After our travels, we were tired and didn't want to head out for supper, so the staff kindly put together a cheese board and a bottle of wine. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. Luciano was gracious and quick to answer our emailed questions, even when we needed help as far away as Florence. He also gave us useful ideas for restaurants and things to do nearby. We went to one of the twice-weekly Tuscan dinners, where Luciano and the staff made us a spectacular vegetarian alternative. Breakfast was very good value for its quality, quantity, and presentation. We'll stay at La Piana again next time we're in Tuscany.

We left feeling refreshed after two nights, though we wished we could have stayed longer. We were kindly upgraded to a suite with a terrace overlooking the beautiful hills. The hotel is truly stunning, and breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Thank you for the hospitality!
