Park Hotel Ripaverde

The rooms do the job, but the bathrooms are quite old and there’s nothing fancy about them. For somewhere described as a four-star hotel, it feels like an aging three-star place at best. It needs a full refresh; the last one must have been more than 30-35 years ago.

The pool bar was shut during a sunny August weekend, even though lots of people were enjoying the sunshine. An open bar with music would have been the finishing touch. The hotel was a good, restful place to stay for a week at Mugello Circuit, with good service, a great pool, a decent breakfast, and a fair price. The experience does feel old-school, from the room design and equipment to the lobby and the old F1 photos on the wall. I had three breakfasts and they were identical, which isn’t what I’d expect from a four-star hotel. Still, thanks for a good stay.

Free parking is excellent, and there’s a gym with a pretty good selection of equipment. The location is good, and for that area it’s easily the best place to stay at a decent price. But it didn’t feel like the four-star experience I expected. Breakfast was just OK, and the rooms are tiny. I’ve stayed in different ones over the last few months, and in at least one there was barely room to pull out the chair at the desk.

It’s an okay place to stay, though it doesn’t feel like a four-star hotel. The air conditioning was really noisy, the paint was peeling, and the toilet kept running. I’d expect a better breakfast from a four-star place too.
