Villa Porcigliano Olive Grove

We spent a lovely week in a quiet, spotless villa among the Tuscan hills, with Florence and the countryside close by to explore. Our host was attentive and always had great suggestions for places to go. We’re already making plans to come back next year. Thank you, Jacopo!

We spent so much time in the garden enjoying the spectacular view, and there are plenty of nearby places to visit. The house is beautiful, with lots of thoughtful details, a well-stocked kitchen, and three very comfortable double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Jacopo clearly knows how to take care of guests, and his mother Gabriella was delightful and looked after us so well. Thank you both.

We planned on about 20 nights and ended up staying twice as long. Leaving this beautiful place was just too hard. It’s set high in the heart of Tuscany, with captivating mountain views and a house with panoramic terrace windows. The owner welcomed us warmly and gave us great tips on restaurants and things to see. The house has everything you need, and even a family of six can stay comfortably. We loved feeling like locals instead of tourists. The regional food is excellent and very affordable, especially if you love good food. From here it’s easy to explore the area, with Florence 16 km away and local towns even closer. You can eat at proper Tuscan restaurants where the locals go. If you want privacy while still being able to visit lots of places, this is the spot. Highly recommended.

Gabriella was the best part of the trip for our daughter. She’s a lovely, attentive host, easy to communicate with, and speaks English. The facilities were good, breakfast was tasty, and it was easy to head out to the countryside or Florence. It was just what we expected.
