The seafood was especially good, and the semifreddo is my favorite sweet there. I also loved the cozy feel and the friendly staff. Their pizza is the best I’ve tried so far. Every now and then they put on dinners with live music. The menu has a seafood option and a meat option. It’s a nice spot for lunch or dinner with the family, and the prices are fair.
The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere feels cozy and family-friendly. The food is incredible too. One of my favorite places in Italy.
I’ve heard plenty of great things about the fish menu, but I haven’t tried it, so I can’t speak to that. The meat meal, though, was awful. The mutton was dry and overcooked, the grilled vegetables tasted of bleach, and the tagliatelle with ham and shallots was swimming in cream. I’d never go back.
Giovanni really is special. The fish is so fresh, with Sicilian flavors coming through in every bite. The chef is exceptional, and I’d gladly return and recommend him.
I’m staying here for work, and the rooms have plenty of room for improvement, especially the bathrooms and beds. Two stars feels fair. The food was average, while the staff were friendly and gave me nothing to complain about.
