Ca’ Cigolara

Ita has a little piece of my heart, and I’m already thinking about coming back. It’s so peaceful here, with mountain air, wide views, and hammocks to lounge in. There’s a big, air-conditioned dome for yoga or Pilates, and the yurts also have air-conditioning and power sockets. The pool looks out over the mountains, and the staff were happy to help with anything.

The shared space has plenty to do, with a ping-pong table, hammocks, an outdoor pool, and a barbecue, and pets are welcome. Our children got to watch the animals being fed and pet them. Simona and Diego also serve a delicious four-course dinner at a fair price. We loved staying in a yurt amid the beautiful scenery, right by the WWF protected area. The yurt and nearby private bathroom were clean, with a fan and a heater for winter. There’s a booklet in Italian and English with activities and suggestions for the surrounding area.

A lovely little hideaway. We slowed right down and enjoyed the nature around the farm. The food was great at both breakfast and dinner, with locally sourced fruit and vegetables. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the whole stay was well worth it.

The staff felt like family, and the food was both delicious and generous. Everything, from the yurts and toilets to the pool, dome, and restaurant, was simple, authentic, spotless, and in good working order. The views were breathtaking and somehow comforting, and as soon as you arrive, everyday worries seem to slip away. For me, it’s an ideal place for a retreat. I’m so grateful to Simona and the team for making ours special.
