8/10
The restaurant food was excellent on Saturday night, though it's closed on Sunday nights. The rooms were a good size, breakfast was a good typical Italian spread, and being out of town made things quiet. We had a hire car, so the place suited our visit. The bus only ran every 1 hour, though, so that wasn't ideal.

10/10
The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and everywhere was very clean. Check-in and checkout were both quick and friendly. Breakfast had a good range of hot and cold options, with staff keeping everything topped up. They were happy to make espresso or cappuccino instead of using the machine. The pool and area around it looked lovely. They also made a tremendous fuss of our Border Collie Charlie. We'll definitely stay again, and for more than one night next time. Excellent hotel a short distance from Mantua.

For several days in a row, breakfast included expired products. Even after cleaning, the room was still full of dust.

We had a big family room with comfortable beds, and the swimming pool was useful. Breakfast was good, and there were plenty of parking spaces.

BEWARE!!!! This hotel doesn't match what it looks like, and it's nowhere near 4-star level. I'd say 2-3 stars at most. There's an old, dirty smell, and the staff seemed annoyed and pretty incompetent, especially in food and beverage. So many cheap fixes. The photos on the hotel's site and booking websites are manipulated; the real place is much worse.
