The location is the main reason to stay here. It’s right in central Bormio, a few steps from Via Roma and the pedestrian path over the river. The ski lifts are a 7-8 minute walk away, and there’s a large parking lot reserved for guests. There isn’t much in the building beyond the rooms: no breakfast room, lounge, or reception. Check-in is at Hotel Derby, where breakfast costs €15 extra and dinner is €35 for a set menu. It’s reasonably convenient, though not very close. I’d choose Mozart Café for breakfast instead, since it’s nearer and half the price. My room and bathroom need updating. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and there were no spares, blankets, fridge, kettle, or coffee maker. Maybe some rooms have those things, but mine didn’t. I left a stained shower towel in the bidet one morning so it could be replaced, but it was folded and hung back on the bathroom towel warmer. During the six days, the towels were changed just once. I’d recommend this place for the location alone, but it’s expensive for what you get.

What was advertised was very different from what we found, even at the agreed price. On arrival they moved us to another hotel and didn’t honor our room choice. I hope they do something to fix this.

I paid €338.00 for one night after booking the house for a date the website showed as available. Five days later, I got an email saying the dates had been entered incorrectly and I needed to cancel because the minimum stay was three nights. I’d already booked the restaurant and paid its deposit. They said I could keep the room if I paid for two nights despite staying only one, but they wanted at least €880.00 for those two nights, raising the nightly price as well. They didn’t even ask how to handle it, given that I’d already sent the restaurant deposit. These people are absolutely not trustworthy. I wanted to tell these tramps that dishonesty doesn’t pay. I hope they spend the room money on medicine, you starving clowns.
