You order at the bar, but the food is brought to your table very quickly. The pizzas are unusual, with toppings like walnuts, apples, and soft white cheese. One was a little burnt, unfortunately. Prices weren’t bad at all. It feels a bit like a tourist trap, though there were no major problems.
The rooms were warm and cozy, with hot showers and comfortable mattresses. The meals and buffet breakfast were enough for a sport hotel. Staff were friendly and organized, and made the stay enjoyable. The location is hard to beat, just a minute’s walk from dubbia skiing on the Stelvio glacier.
We only meant to stay an extra day, and happened upon this hotel by chance. The owner's daughter and son run it mainly for ski school students, but they made us feel very welcome and treated us well.
Victor and Francesca make me feel like I’m visiting family every time I stay. The rooms aren’t anything special, but I always sleep best at their family run hotel and keep coming back. Stelvio has lots of history, and the espresso is pretty good too. Two thumbs up!
We paid 30 Euro quit for two pizzas, two drinks, and two coffees, which is very good value, especially given the location. The coffee was very good and the pizza decent. Recommended!
