Domus Parthenope

It felt like a little utopia here! The apartment was huge and clean, and everything was perfect. Thanks for a great stay, Anna. If you’re considering booking, I’d recommend it.

The apartment is very, very small, especially the kitchen and bathroom, and we found ants in our room, though they didn’t bite. The area itself wasn’t very inviting and there isn’t much to do nearby, but the hosts made our stay lovely, and there’s a great family restaurant around. We enjoyed the garden and pool. The kitchen was well equipped, the air conditioning worked, and the cosy rooms had good beds and fresh towels. The hosts were nice, and so was the dog. Thanks for the milk, coffee, and farewell gift!

The only real problem for us was the boiler. The water would turn very hot and then suddenly cold. A car repair shop nearby can be heard from the terrace, though it didn’t bother me, and you can’t hear it by the pool in the garden. The driveway between the buildings is narrow, so a small car is a better fit. There’s a private parking space on site. The stairs from the garden to the upper floor are narrow and winding, but you can also enter the apartment from the street. We liked the spacious, clean rooms and large terrace, with a view of Mount Vesuvius. The kitchen has what you need, though it could use a sharp chopping knife and a dishwasher. There are plenty of towels, a hairdryer, clothes dryer, air conditioning, and electric heaters. The garden has palm trees and an olive tree, with shade to relax in, and the pool is a big plus. A restaurant 50 meters away serves good pizza at good prices, and there’s a well stocked shop 200 meters away. The staff are friendly, and it’s a nice base for exploring the area.

The hosts were fantastic, and this was a great base for visiting Amalfi, Vesuvius, Pompeii, and Naples. With the gate behind you, it feels like you’ve stepped into paradise. Highly recommend it for a family holiday.
