Azzurro Camping Village

The playground and lakeside bar were my favorite part. The kids could play while we parents enjoyed good coffee. It's one of the best campervan parks, right on the lake, with fairly spacious grassy pitches among the trees. The showers take coins, but they're clean and work well.

The views were phenomenal, and we camped just 40 meters from the water. The pitches were flat with hardly any rocks, so putting up a tent was easy. Staff were welcoming and kind, and food, coffee, and drinks were very affordable. I got a liter of house wine and a margherita pizza for 15 euro. Showers cost extra, but the free outdoor one was perfectly acceptable to me. I'd seen a review criticizing the toilets, and that may have been fair before, but during my stay the facilities were updated and clean. If you want a simple, quiet, family-run campsite, azzurro is the place.

The only thing that bothered me was some of the permanent residents, especially a few older guests who were rude in passing and came across as hostile and judgmental. At times it felt like they wanted to show that they ruled the place. The campsite itself was a nice size, not too big, and good value. We chose a shady, convenient spot. Facilities were standard and, as you'd expect, cleaner in the afternoon than at night. Staff were friendly, the receptionist was really kind, and the younger woman at the bar was wonderful. The bar was cheap and well stocked, the pizzeria was good, and the lake beach was nice. It got a little noisy in the evenings, but we were there on a weekend and didn't mind people enjoying themselves.

We camped with our caravan at this lovely spot and will definitely be back in September. It's tidy and very clean, the staff are friendly, and there's a private beach on Bracciano lake with a beautiful view. The traditional dishes were amazing too. Thanks for the great hospitality.
