I had a really nice stay. The place is comfortable, very clean, and the staff are kind. It feels more like a mountain inn than a luxury or boutique hotel, but the atmosphere is warm, breakfast was perfectly fine, and the bar had excellent beer. The price may feel high to plenty of people. Finding it was a bit of a challenge. Google Maps read the address on my invoice wrong and sent me up a narrow, slightly scary mountain road at twilight. I would've rather avoided that, but the staff picked up quickly and gave me great directions to get back on track. The Dolomite village is charming, and the access to Lago di Braies is hard to beat.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the mountain view from the location was superb. It was also good value compared with other places nearby.
The setting is convenient, roughly half an hour from Cortina, Brunico, and San Candido, but the price in December 2024 felt high for what we got. The apartment was very clean, though dark. The induction hob was awful, with only full power available, and two pots were half full and gone. The bathroom was also completely dark, with no extractor, so the smell lingered through the holiday unless we did something extra. There was just a bathtub with a shower, no shower attachment or curtain, and water ended up everywhere. The bed was hard, the pillow uncomfortable, and the sink was open in the bedroom. There was also a tuina center. We had to wake up at 6:00, maybe earlier, with noise everywhere. No bidet either, which was a shame. They still haven't contacted us about the item of little value we forgot. Even a bar of soap, something in the fridge, or a small Christmas decoration would've been nice, but there was none of that.
We found the owners very kind and helpful, and they welcomed my dog too. The place is quiet and peaceful, a nice choice for a relaxing holiday in nature. The traditional wooden apartment was tidy and very clean, with spacious rooms and what we needed for a comfortable stay. It's about a 15-minute walk from Lake Braies. From the balconies the views were incredible, and I saw a starry sky I'll never forget.
The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was clean, but there was a terrible smell from the kitchen that only went away after a few days. Everything else felt bare-bones. On the balcony there was a rusty deck chair. There was no bidet, and in the bathroom there were no soap bars, only a small amount of liquid soap that would run out quickly. The room's transparent door had a sheet of paper taped on it to hide the inside, making it harder to open. We booked through Booking.com expecting a dream place, especially for the price, but the building is beside a fairly busy road, which wasn't clear in the photos. Nobody greeted us. Our keys were in an envelope with our last name, and we carried two heavy suitcases up the stairs without help. The owner wasn't present and seemed to have left the property in oblivion. When I described our problems, he was rude and kept making excuses. The street, door, and bathroom hadn't appeared in the photos. With the strict rules, the owner seems ready to charge extra for things like not leaving by 9:00 a.m. on checkout day. It wasn't worth the €800+ for an adult and child for six nights. Don't be fooled, stay away!
