Our first day ran late and we arrived after the set dinner time, but they still managed to serve us. We felt very welcome throughout. The food was great and the portions were good, and the view from our room was stunning. The room and staff were lovely too. Everything made for a wonderful holiday, and the stay was great value for the price.

A clean, comfortable room and a really enjoyable stay. Breakfast was great, and the service was great too. Lago di braies is only about a three-minute drive away, which is perfect if you’re hoping to catch the sunrise. :)

Hotel Trenker is a charming, family-run place, with the kind of attentive feel of a well-managed German/Austrian "Landhaus". We especially enjoyed the excellent spa and sparkling-clean pool, a welcome break before and after our short trek in the Dolomites. Breakfast was served in a classic style, and there was a lovely optional dinner of four or five courses for an extra charge. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

We let the hotel know as soon as we had to cancel, more than seven days before our stay, because of circumstances we couldn’t foresee. Even though our booking included half board, they wouldn’t offer even a small partial refund. The only response was an automated message, with no personal reply at all. Very disappointing, with no communication or goodwill. It didn’t feel guest-friendly, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

A peaceful place to unwind in nature, and a handy base for visiting Lake Braies. It’s about 2 km away on foot, so we could explore the area without having to drive.
