Camping Le Maior

Mornings here started with fresh warm bread and coffee made on site, a lovely touch. We also had electricity and a parking spot set aside for us, and the owner was always ready with help and useful tips about local things to do. The staff made a great impression. Our tent was under olive trees, so there was shade from the Italian sun, and the stony beach was close enough to get to the lake easily. The bathrooms and toilets were clean and comfortable for a camping trip. Le Maior campsite was a wonderful base for our trip with family and friends. The setting was beautiful, and it was one of the best campsites we came across in the Lake Garda region. We left with great memories.

We spent 7 very pleasant nights here, my boyfriend and I. It was a quiet, clean campsite and not too big, with a beautiful sunset over the mountains. The beach is only 3 minutes away on foot, and there's a calisthenics training spot there too. The location is another plus, close to charming Malcesine and Monte Baldo for hiking. The lake view is worth the campsite's position a little way up the hills, about 100m. It's a very nice, spacious place, quiet and modern. Check it out.

Luigina was marvellous, welcoming and helpful, and a delight to be around. The bar and shop cover most basics, and you can order bread for delivery. The campsite is well organised, with spotless toilets and showers. From the bar, Regina has posted which markets are on each day of the week, which was useful. Go early! We came in late September intending to stay 4 nights, but ended up loving it so much we stayed 8. Camping among the olive trees came with tempting views over lake garda, especially when the water turned rose gold in the evening. The position is handy for visiting the area's beautiful towns. Castaletto is nearby, with a great little minimarket, restaurants and a harbour. It's a great campsite, and we'd definitely return.
