Hotel Drago by Double Hospitality

The lake view from our beautiful new room was stunning, and the hotel is right by the shore. Breakfast was included, rich, and delicious. There are lots of amenities too, including bicycles, kayaks, a hot tub, a pool, and a gym. Halima and everyone else on staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay, and hope to come back next time we’re in North Italy.

The room was tiny, and the bathroom was even worse. There was so little space beside the toilet that sitting normally was hard. They only had single-ply toilet paper. The receptionists were polite, but the whole thing still seemed hard to believe.

Our room was big, and the balcony view was stunning. I liked the hotel, and I couldn’t get my dog away from the balcony ;). Breakfast wasn’t perfect, but I don’t need much in the morning, so coffee was fine for me.

The breakfast was nice, which earned the hotel one extra point, but the stay was a big disappointment. We booked a standard twin room for one night, and it looked nothing like the bright rooms in the booking.com photos when I checked them again. Ours was dark and smelled quite bad. It wasn’t dirty, but it seemed not to have been used recently, and there were insects: a big spider came out from the bed, another large, strange insect was behind the door, and a few spiders were in the corners. The swimming pool closed at 7pm, which I don’t understand. We definitely won’t be back.
