Hotel Rabay

We had a fab three days here in July '25. It's a lovely family-run hotel, just across the road from the shore, so book a lake-view room. The showers and breakfast were great, and parking was good.

We spent four days in the area and loved this hotel. They upgraded our rooms as a kind gesture since they had availability. The views were fantastic, service was great, and it's a very friendly family-run place. I'm very picky about hygiene because I work in tourism, and this was the cleanest hotel I've stayed in in Italy. Excellent! I'll definitely come back and recommend it to all my friends.

The people working here were friendly, and the view from our nice room was beautiful. The hotel could probably use some renovations, and breakfast was okay. All in all, we're happy!

We had a great, relaxing stay and would definitely come back. The hotel was good value, with a great location, helpful staff, decent food, and an easygoing atmosphere. Getting in from the road and parking was easy, even at 4am. Our room and veranda were tidy and well maintained, with plenty of space. Our flight from Montenegro was delayed by two hours, so we didn't get to the Milan car hire until after 11pm. We drove on to Lake Garda and reached the hotel around 4am, but the staff had already explained how to get inside at that hour. We were in our room quickly. We wanted to take it easy, and it was simple to do that. A short walk through the hotel's tunnel took us to the lakeside beach, where there was plenty of room and not many people. We carried the hotel's sunbeds through the tunnel and set up for the day. The water was easy to get into, and the hotel jetty was handy for avoiding the stones when climbing in and out. We did the same on our second full day. On our first evening, we walked along the fairly new path for bikes and pedestrians to the nearest town. It was much easier than walking down the road when we stayed nearby a few years ago, though keep an eye out behind you because some cyclists don't ring their bells. The town's name escapes me, but it had enough restaurants, bars, and shops for us. We happened to be there while the Euros were on a big screen in the square, followed by a good rock covers band. The walk back was easy. The next day we drove about 12 km north to another town, then took a ferry to Limone for a pleasant day of shopping and eating. A boat trip is definitely worth doing at some point. The reception and management team were excellent, friendly, and very helpful, and the room cleaners were just as good. The food was decent, and we could take drinks and snacks through the tunnel to the beach. The grounds were beautiful too. We didn't use them much, but plenty of guests were relaxing there.
