The free parking was a plus, and we could still check in after the receptionist had left. But the room cost far too much for what it was. It smelled of smoke under a heavy perfume scent, and the bed was uncomfortable, with springs pressing into my back. The old hair dryer, the kind with a long tube, barely gave off any hot air. We stayed about three nights on the ground floor. There were no bars on the windows, and although the room had a safe, we had to leave a €50 deposit to get the key. I thought it should at least have been free to use given the windows, though I’d understand paying a fine if the key were lost. They did return the deposit at checkout. We didn’t have breakfast there.

We had to cancel our December stay after finding out my wife was expecting and her doctor advised her not to travel. We’d planned to visit our family in Brescia and still want to go, just not that month. Booking couldn’t get the reservation canceled because the hotel wouldn’t agree, even though there was time to rebook. Our Italian family also called to explain and ask if the dates could be moved, but got nowhere. We canceled and lost the money. Some flexibility would have meant keeping us as customers. As things stand, you’ve lost a lot of customers for life.

The room was spacious, with a large bathroom, and the AC worked well. The man at reception was great. Breakfast was very simple, probably typical for Italy, but the coffee was excellent. 😁

The house was really clean, and they had things there for cleaning it. The hotel owner and his wife were very nice. I liked staying there.

I slept well and felt safe, without the usual city noise. The rooms were comfortable and practical, with a fridge, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a hairdryer. The building’s architecture looked a bit odd (see photo). It’s not very central, but the metro is just around the corner, and the train gets you to either the city centre or central station in 3-4 stops. Staff spoke several languages and were very helpful. The breakfast room was a little bland, while breakfast itself was decent by Italian standards, with bread, cereal, pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and fresh Italian coffee. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back!
