Cervino - VRetreats, SLH Collection

The staff were what stood out most. Everyone made us feel special, from greeting us whenever we passed to the regular shuttle into town and the lovely bar and restaurant teams. The facilities were clean and modern, and our honeymoon couldn't have been more perfect. We had a magical time. I'd highly recommend it for anyone who loves skiing and wants somewhere to relax in the evening with a luxury feel.

The view of Cervino from our room was spectacular. The two shuttles ran all day, so getting to the ski lift in the morning took just a few minutes. The ski shop was well equipped, and its heated locker kept our gear perfectly dry by the next morning. Over our seven nights, the two restaurants had different dinner menus, so we could try something new each time: fish, meat, pasta, and traditional dishes from Aosta and Piedmont, including cheese fondue and raclette. Breakfast had a gorgeous buffet with lots of choices, from a continental spread to classic Italian sweets. The food was delicious and beautifully presented every time, from breakfast through dinner. It's a fantastic resort in one of Italy's best ski areas. The staff were extremely kind and always available to help with our needs.

The night view of Cervino was a lovely extra, but the meal was memorable in its own right. I started with fresh shrimp tartare over avocado, celery, and a well-balanced citrus dressing. The agnolotti alle tre carni for primo were rich but delicate, and clearly prepared with care. For dessert, their own baking team made a delicious lemon dessert that was bright and refined. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere wonderful, and the wine selection excellent. A truly special dinner from beginning to end. A must-visit restaurant when staying at VRetreats Cervino.

The service was remarkable, and everyone was kind and helpful. The rooms are a bit on the modern side and standard in size, while the spa is great, though it can get busy. You do have to contend with the global privileged at times. I'm glad we chose VRetreats, and I'll try to return.
