The view from our room was lovely, and the location is hard to beat: just a 2-3 minute walk to the slope, with restaurants, shops, groceries, and souvenirs close by. There’s parking, a ski room, and a shared area too. Still, for the conditions, we found the place overpriced. Our room was modest, with old furniture and hardly any storage for bulky winter gear. Cleaning was poor during our seven nights. Dust stayed on the surfaces, towels were only replaced on the fifth day after we left them on the floor, and the sheets didn’t seem freshly washed. We found hairs on them before using them, and the mugs weren’t properly clean either. The host wasn’t especially friendly. She seemed irritated when we used a spoon from the kitchen, then blocked access to the common area through the kitchen. Breakfast was average at best, though I understand that may be typical for Italy. All in all, we had a good experience despite these issues.

The location was excellent, but we came away feeling like our being there wasn’t welcome. The rooms were okay, though very basic, with hard, narrow beds, plain curtains, and no pictures. Breakfast was fresh but just as simple. Nothing about the place felt cosy or friendly.

Federica made us feel right at home, and the B&B was spotless. It’s in a quiet spot slightly outside the centre, with the ski slopes only steps away. A great base for climbs around the Matterhorn. Definitely worth trying if you’re visiting Cervinia.
