We had a fantastic week: great location, lovely restaurant and very friendly staff. The wine tasting led by Ricardo and Elisa was brilliant; Ricardo knows his subject and is passionate about it. The one sour note came on our final night, when the hotel took all the bathrobes away, apparently to stop them being stolen. At a hotel this experienced and otherwise so good, treating guests as potential thieves was really disappointing and left a sad end to the trip.

The room was fantastic, the staff were lovely and the bar lounge by the fire was a great place to relax. Breakfast, though, was a disaster. Each morning the eggs, bacon and mushrooms were disgusting, sitting in warm water. I wouldn't give them to my dog. Coffee and cornflakes were okay, but that was about it. I'd suggest booking B&B if you can, to limit the food damage: dinner was an adventure at best, and not always a good one. I gave service a 3 because there isn't a food category.

The slopes and ski schools are right in front of the hotel. I've been coming here for 15 years, and it's a wonderful family-run place with a cosy atmosphere, great location, staff and truly amazing food. It's the kind of place that leaves you with lasting memories. Thank you!

I was there in mid-January 2026. It's a great hotel, very cosy and very cool. I can't say enough about the service, especially from the two sommeliers, Eliza and Ricardo. Thanks so much for putting up with us 😁. And the food? Maybe that'll be one of the many reasons I'll come back. Thank you, and best of luck!

The dinners were a real highlight. Every evening felt like a gourmet meal, and we looked forward to it. I also loved our room and its spectacular view. Hotel Excelsior Planet made our stay unforgettable, with a convenient ski room and a lovely spa for unwinding after a day skiing. The staff surprised me with a birthday cake, such a thoughtful gesture that made my day extra special. The cosy atmosphere and hospitality made everything feel perfect.
