La Posada

The rooms are new, pretty, spacious, and comfortable, with large bathrooms and showers, air conditioning, a remote controlled ceiling fan, TV, WiFi, mosquito nets, and all the usual comforts. They were clean, too. Just bring your own soap and shampoo, since none are provided. Breakfast was the letdown: a small table with a rag for a tablecloth, stocked with packaged tarts and plum cakes. A decent B&B should at least have frozen croissants ready to bake in the morning, even if they aren’t fresh from the bar. Juice, milk, and coffee were available. The outdoor areas need upkeep, although there’s plenty of parking. It’s okay for a night if you’re passing through. The rooms are beautiful, and with a proper breakfast I’d have rated it 4 stars. It was 2022, so they should keep up with the times and improve.

The bathroom was large, the bed comfortable, and there was air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a TV. Breakfast was disastrous, though, and the floors were dirty, with cobwebs and an untidy garden. Ants were everywhere, even in our suitcases, which we’d left on the floor because there was nowhere else to put them. There wasn’t a table, either.

Antonio was very helpful, answered all our questions, and served a delicious breakfast. It was a pleasure meeting him, and I appreciated his hospitality. The rooms were large and very clean, with comfortable beds and air conditioning. The property has parking and several small houses, each with a bedroom and bathroom. It’s beside the road but felt safe and had a nice atmosphere. I loved the experience.

We stayed here quietly for the night before catching the ferry from Brindisi the next day. The host was very helpful, and both the room and bathroom were clean and new. Breakfast was good and the price reasonable. We did have some trouble finding the place after dark because there’s no sign visible from the street.
