Albergo dei Tigli

Breakfast was toast, jam and packaged croissants. The cappuccino we asked for came as warm milk with something like dirty water for coffee. There were huge cobwebs in the breakfast room, obvious even without looking closely. The room was damp and you could hear everything. It was meant to be a double, but it was two beds pushed together, with mismatched sheets and very old towels. The bathroom was cramped and laid out so badly that getting into the shower meant climbing over the sink. There was hair left on the floor, and even the toilet paper roll wasn't new. At the entrance, the supposed elevator was a freight lift, and there was no reception. The place felt creepy. When we asked to pay by card, she said cash was needed to get the discount. That made it €70 instead of €60 a night, and there was no invoice. Calling it a hotel is generous. Avoid it, they take advantage of people.
