Marco was very friendly, and the apartment felt secure and pleasant. I especially liked the terrace full of flowers. The setting is magnificent, with stunning lake views, and two good restaurants were open while I was there. Getting around without a car is the drawback. There aren't many shops or much public transport, and I was there because my car had broken down.

After our walk up to the lighthouse, the bar kiosk in the middle of the roundabout was a lifesaver. The man there was really friendly.

After that really long uphill climb, an Aperol and some crisps were exactly right.
