Garni Lindenhof

This was a very negative experience. I booked directly with the property on January 12, 2025, for two people to stay two nights, May 31-June 1, 2025. I received a final confirmation by email. When I arrived at the Garni at 4:15 PM on May 31 to check in, the owner said there were no rooms left and asked whether I had a reservation. I showed her the confirmation and the reminder they had sent, and insisted on the room I had booked well in advance, also to get the lower rate. The owner said she had rebooked "my" room because I hadn’t called to confirm my arrival. I don’t think that should be necessary once you have a booking confirmation. I asked her to at least help find somewhere else, maybe by contacting nearby properties, but she refused and didn’t apologize for the serious inconvenience. I was hundreds of kilometers from home, exhausted after a hike, and suddenly had nowhere to stay. Many places were already full, but luckily after a few hours I found somewhere that could take us for both nights. It was in the Aurina Valley, past Lutago and quite far from Riscone, so I had to change my plans for the two full days.

We found the room cozy and warm, with bright windows, a spacious bathroom, and a very large shower. The B&B had been renovated recently and is just a few minutes by car from Brunico center, with free parking out front. It’s very close to the Kronplatz slopes, and the price was excellent. Breakfast was simple, delicious, and plentiful.

We were very happy with our three-night stay in the roomy ground-floor apartment. It was quiet, newly renovated, and spotless, with a huge terrace and a kitchen stocked with what we needed. In the morning, you can add breakfast or have bread rolls delivered. We’d happily return!

A friendly hostess, tasty breakfast, and a nice clean room with a balcony made us very happy. The bathroom was large and modern, too. We’d gladly come back.
