The Laghetto worked really well for our four-night ski trip. It’s in a great spot for the Monterosa area, though having a car would be ideal. The rooms were nice, the food was excellent, and everyone on staff was helpful and friendly.

We came for dinner, so I can’t speak to the hotel, but the restaurant made for a really enjoyable evening. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the local dishes, from Crespella to Polenta, were excellent. We both ordered pork, which might be the best we’ve had in a very long time, if not ever. Definitely worth a dinner visit.

The spa outside was a wonderful place to unwind after hiking, and the setting is beautiful. My husband and I spent three nights here in September for my birthday, and it felt like a magical little escape. There’s lots to do in the area, and the manager and staff gave us plenty of suggestions. Our room was spotless and comfortable, the shower had great pressure, and the Wi-Fi let us stream in the evenings. The owners and staff were so welcoming and kind, and communicating in English was easy despite our limited Italian. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and also had snacks and drinks at the bar. The food was very good and the service was great. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could, and we hope to come back.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, just came to the restaurant, and all four of us loved the food. The Battuta di Fassona was our aperitivo, then we shared a pear and cheese risotto and a dear ragù pasta. The children had plain Tagliatelle and lamb chops. Portions were just right, so we still had room to share a few desserts. The chocolate cake was a standout. We also had a Fumin lo Triolet, a typical Vallee d’Aoste variety. Coming from the Midwest, the place reminded us of a supper club. The menu had simple staples, the service was attentive, and the interior was unpretentious, which made for a very pleasant evening. Don’t miss the vibe setting chicken Christmas tree!

The location is good and the rooms are nice, but our experience with the service was mediocre and left us disappointed. There’s very little equipment in the rooms, for example, no water kettle, which is usually standard in other hotels. The restaurant was the biggest letdown: the food tasted bland and boring. The bar, though, is good for drinks and coffee.
